Knowing and speaking your desires can lead to you having more of what you want, since desire is a powerful catalyst for meaningful and exciting experiences. Many men, unfortunately, shut down their desires, and sometimes without even realizing it. If you don’t know what you want, or if you’ve found you have a cap on what you let yourself want, this episode will support you to break through the barriers to being free with your desire.
Do you ever struggle to know what you want? Or even if you do know, do you struggle to ask for it?
This is common for many of my clients.
In an attempt to be kind, considerate, or loving, men sometimes shut down their desires and take what they get. They don’t always know they’re doing this.
These men then don’t have a life, relationship, or sex life that inspires them. Passion fades, both internally and in relationships.
Desire is a foundation of life, and your life force! Today’s Man Alive podcast guest, Cosmo Meens, is a Somatic Sex Educator. He facilitates retreats to support people to expand the capacity for embodiment, explore their true desires and experience new territories of pleasure.
In our deep, and some may say wild, conversation we discussed Cosmo’s six part Anatomy of Desire Process and…
- How desire becomes a doorway to life force energy
- What life can be when you’re not afraid of having and expressing desires
- How to feel and embody immense power, without “burning down the house”
- How to make taking what you want safe (!)
- Titrating your expression desire so you don’t lose yourself along the way
Cosmo makes talking about desire and sex safer! In this episode he also helps you understand how to shift from overwhelm or giving up on desired experiences, to getting conscious and intentional about them with communication and collaboration.
