Out of a desire to support men to have the resources and information they need to be healthy, happy, and have the impact they want to have on the world, I started the Man Alive podcast.
My vision, 7 years ago, was to give men a private way to explore topics they may not feel comfortable asking for help with.
I’ve loved the guests and conversations we’ve had. It has been an incredible journey and reaching episode 300 isn’t something I foresaw when I started.
This episode is a recap of where I started, and then transitions into where I’m going from here. I still have men in mind, and think you’re going to enjoy the new podcast I’m envisioning, and you’ll be able to invite others who aren’t men, to listen. More on this soon!
In this episode, Dr. Eric Fitzmedrud, a colleague, friend, and author of The Better Man, and I talked about…
- Man Alive’s beginnings
- What it takes to be both sovereign and connected in relationships
- The power of intermingling gender groups and learning from each other
- What love’s got to do with it
- My vision for a new podcast that will go live this fall
I am still here for you, even as the format changes, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything.
More and more these days, I’m supporting men who are exploring expanding their consciousness, whether through meditation, medicine journeys, energy work, tantra, etc. Expansion can take time and space to integrate and evolve. If you want support with this, reply to this email and let me know.
If you’re willing, I’d love to hear how the Man Alive podcast has touched you over the years. Simply reply here and I’ll read them all.

He considered a more academic career but realized that what he really felt called to do was work with people one-on-one. Eric began his Ph.D. in 2002 and earned his Clinical Psychology Ph.D. in 2008. He is honored to get to do work he enjoys, that is meaningful, and helps others live meaningful, connected lives.
