It would seem that love would be the foundation of a strong relationship. In this controversial podcast Rabbi Manis Friendman talks about how love can actually destroy a marriage and why people are having less sex than ever. He also talks about how a couple can create true connection and bonding.
Show notes
Love is something most of us seek for our whole lives, with our whole beings.
Love seems like an answer, a solution, a destination.
And yet so many couples end up unhappy, frustrated and lonely, even while in a relationship!
Too often, love fades, fizzles or falls apart.
What if the way we think about love and the way we interact in relationships makes them more likely to fall apart than succeed?
What if the way we relate to love actually gets in the way of a real connection?
Today’s podcast with Rabbi Manis Friedman is fascinating. He talks about intimacy in a way I’ve rarely heard anyone talk about it.
In this conversation we discussed some controversial topics like:
- How love can actually destroy marriage!
- Whether sex is a need or desire
- Why people often feel alone these days, even in a relationship
- What allows a couple to create a true bond and real connection
- Why couples are having less and less sex and how to shift this dynamic
When you’re done with this one you can listen to How to Stop Love From Fading or Falling Apart, with author and teacher Guy Finley. In this conversation Guy blew me away with how to create a relationship with deep love, respect and growth!
