Today’s Man Alive Podcast topic is about what I call Relational Health. It’s an often overlooked aspect of relationships that is a combination of the Social and Emotional categories. It’s not just about making sure you have others to spend time with, but making sure your relationships and interactions are high quality — supportive, honest, inspiring, connected.
In this solo episode I discussed:
- 3 important foundations of Relational Health
- Why people in romantic relationships sometimes feel more alone than when single
- How harshness and assumptions kill spark and connection
- What has people settle for unsatisfying relationships
- Conversations you can have with a partner to create a healthier dynamic
When you’re done with this one, check out another great health episode: How to Change Your Eating Habits AND Become More Productive.
May you be well and healthy, this month and always.

Why does Shana coach men?!
When I started my Masters degree in Psychology I was clearly headed toward working with women. But in the midst of my program I was given an opportunity to start coaching men. As men trusted me with their vulnerability and the pressure of expectations, responsibilities, doubt and fear, as I saw parts of men I know many women may never see… I fell in love with men!
It wasn’t long before I realized how little support men get and how unaccepting people can be of both your fears AND desires, especially men who think and feel deeply or are more sensitive than the “Man Mold” teaches you to be.
I know you are innately powerful and lovable. I know your desires are good. I have love and respect for your truest, wildest and most tender places. Nothing is too raw, too bold or too vulnerable to bring to me. I am honored to be on your side and help you create a life where you are fulfilled, inspired, respected, listened to, wanted, loved and cared for.
