It is common that sex and intimacy changes after a “honeymoon period,” often decreasing in passion or consistency. There are some unexamined relationship dynamics that can surprisingly reignite sensuality. This episode lays them out for you.
Show notes:
I am relaunching this episode because in times of stress, affection and connection are often pushed aside :(.
During this challenging time a healthy sex life would be a great relief but when survival instincts kick in, women especially turn their focus to the tasks at hand. They may lean away from emotional and sensual contact.
What I’ve seen with my clients is that a WAY more satisfying sex life is possible than they realized. And it’s not about always having to be happy or turned on!
During a pandemic, or other stressful times, your intimacy can deepen. Sex can become richer and more meaningful!
While I don’t believe passion, intimacy and sex inevitably fades over time, it’s important to remember you’ll have phases and turning points in your sexual relationship. This doesn’t mean you have to settle for less connection or intimacy than you want.
In this solo Man Alive episode I share a few unexamined relationship dynamics I’ve discovered over the past 15 years of coaching men that surprisingly reignite sensuality. You’ll learn…
- What makes sex hotter and more satisfying, as the years (or even decades) go on
- How and when to have conversations about sex with a partner to increase the likelihood that they are well received
- What women tell me they long for from, and with, men
- Increasing pleasure for you and your partner by letting go of orgasm as the “end goal”
- Practices that shake up your love life and deepen connection
I’ll give you the tools and understanding you need to help your partner open to affection and sensuality. Sign up this week to get the early bird discount!

Why does Shana coach men?!
When I started my Masters degree in Psychology I was clearly headed toward working with women. But in the midst of my program I was given an opportunity to start coaching men. As men trusted me with their vulnerability and the pressure of expectations, responsibilities, doubt and fear, as I saw parts of men I know many women may never see… I fell in love with men!
It wasn’t long before I realized how little support men get and how unaccepting people can be of both your fears AND desires, especially men who think and feel deeply or are more sensitive than the “Man Mold” teaches you to be.
I know you are innately powerful and lovable. I know your desires are good. I have love and respect for your truest, wildest and most tender places. Nothing is too raw, too bold or too vulnerable to bring to me. I am honored to be on your side and help you create a life where you are fulfilled, inspired, respected, listened to, wanted, loved and cared for.
